The recent developments surrounding Bola Ahmed Tinubu have cast a shadow of controversy over the nation. Allegations of CSU certificate forgery and reported efforts to block the release of confidential files by U.S. agencies just today have sown seeds of doubt and uncertainty. In light of these serious allegations, there is a pressing need to delve into the issues, with a call for transparency, accountability, and clarity.
The decision to enlist legal counsel to prevent the release of potential files by U.S. agencies, including the FBI, CIA, DEA, and IRS, raises significant questions. What is the rationale behind this move, and what drives the urgency to prevent these files from coming to light? President Bola A. Tinubu, who has previously asserted his status as a First Class Accountant graduate with accolades and awards from the U.S., now has the opportunity to substantiate these claims, demonstrating pride in his achievements, but is running away from doing that, which is so funny. The question that begs to be answered is, why the eleventh-hour rush to block the release of that information?
Bola Tinubu’s refusal to share his past detailed information or directly address these allegations, beginning with fundamental details such as date and place of birth, has the potential to do more havoc to our Constitution, peaceful existence, and morality as a nation. It is paramount to understand that the concerns about Bola Tinubu’s background, education, and work history are not mere political maneuvers; they represent a legitimate need in the quest for the truth.
“It is truly bewildering and astonishing to witness a man so resolute in keeping his life shrouded in mystery, avoiding any semblance of transparency. What was initially perceived as mere hearsay has evolved into a significant source of embarrassment both within our national borders and on the global stage. Right from the inception of these allegations, there has been an insistent call for truthful answers. At the heart of this matter lies a fundamental truth: if the accusations regarding CSU certificate forgery and perjury are baseless, legal recourse would have been the logical path to take, not keeping silent. Silence is consent!
The expectations are clear; there should be no impediment to providing clarity for the betterment of Nigeria. A simple reintroduction of who Bola A. Tinubu is is all we desire now.
So, who is Bola Ahmed Adekunle Tinubu? When and where was he born? Who are his parents, and from which state and local government does he hail? Does he have any siblings? Which primary, secondary, and college institutions did he attend? Can he recall some of his childhood friends? When did he embark on his first journey abroad? Which organizations did he work for in the past? Did he partake in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in 1983, and if so, can he provide the names of those he served our beloved nation with?
The urgency of addressing these questions is not lost on the populace. It is a matter that extends to the curiosity of our children, who, like many others, seek clarity from their parents. I, too, am confronted with my child’s innocent query: “Daddy, did Tinubu not attend school and lie about it?” To this day, I remain unsure of the response I should provide, for I am unwilling to disseminate falsehoods to my offspring.
The litany of allegations has only further obscured the truth. It has been alleged that Bola Tinubu possesses four different birth dates, hails from Iragbiji in Osun State, goes by the name Amoda Ogunlere, and is not a part of the Tinubu family, among other claims. Compounding this complex web of allegations, we have encountered conflicting affidavits submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). In 1998, Mr. Tinubu claimed to have attended Government College, Ibadan, the University of Chicago, and Chicago State University, with the addition of details about his primary school attendance. Yet, in a subsequent submission in 2022 to INEC, no mention was made of his primary and secondary education. Instead, he asserted his graduation with honors from Chicago State University. Furthermore, a deposition attributed to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar suggests that Bola A. Tinubu, who graduated from Richard Daley College in the USA, was, in fact, a female, and discrepancies in self-identification as “Black American” emerged.
Additionally, it has been reported that Bola Tinubu forfeited approximately $490,000 to the U.S. government many years ago, an issue that remains shrouded in ambiguity.
In light of the hurricane of forgery and identity theft allegations, it is in the best interest of our nation for Alhaji Bola Tinubu to step into the spotlight and address these concerns publicly, once and for all. The avoidance of public engagement only serves to perpetuate the cloud of uncertainty that hangs over our nation.”
The existence of confidential files on an individual within U.S. agencies does raise concerns about potential national security risks. Given the limited knowledge about Bola Tinubu’s background and history, these confidential files create space for speculation and mistrust. Nigerians, like all citizens, have a fundamental right to know about their leaders and their suitability for public office.
All these shenanigans should dispel the notion that the pursuit of transparency and accountability regarding who Bola A. Tinubu is is solely a product of political agendas or the influence of opposition parties. In a democracy, the public’s right to know about their leaders is so important, and leaders have a duty to provide that information.
The Nigerian public has been subjected to an escalating global spectacle surrounding the questions regarding Bola Tinubu’s past. The recent, reported attempts to block the release of confidential files at this critical juncture only serve to intensify the uncertainty. It is imperative that Bola A. Tinubu steps forward and addresses these concerns with transparency and comprehensiveness.
In conclusion, it is time for Bola Tinubu to provide the clarity and accountability that our nation deserves. Nigeria’s future hinges on leaders who are willing to uphold these fundamental principles. If there is nothing to hide, the release of the FBI files should be allowed to proceed and shed light on the truth.”
