JUST IN: After Supreme Court Victory, Gov Yusuf Dismisses Eight Revenue Directors

Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has given his approval for the immediate dismissal of eight directors from the Kano State Internal Revenue Service (KIRS).

The announcement of their removal was made by the Chairman of the Board, Sani Abdulkadir Dambo, in a circular obtained by DAILY POST.

The circular directed the dismissed directors to promptly hand over all duties and responsibilities to their respective deputies.

The affected directors are as follows: Muhammad Kabir Umar (Director Assessment), Kabiru Magaji (Director Human Resource), Ibrahim Sammani (Director Government Business), Aminu Umar Kawu (Director Road and Other Taxes), Muhd Auwal Abdullahi (Director Tax Audit, Investigation & Debt Management), Abubakar Garba Yusuf (Director of ICT), Hamisu Ado Magaji (Director of PAYE), and Bashir Yusuf Madobi (Director of Legal & Enforcement).

The decision is part of the ongoing efforts of the present administration to enhance the efficiency and integrity of public services. The circular emphasized that the relieved directors are required to hand over their responsibilities to their deputies without delay.

“The mentioned directors have been relieved of their responsibilities and are to hand over to their deputies immediately,” stated the circular, outlining the move as a step towards the ongoing efforts to sanitize public services.
