Popular Nigerian singer Eedris Turayo Abdulkareem Ajenifuja, popularly known as Eedris Abdulkareem, has publicly criticized Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), for his silence on the administration of Bola Tinubu.
The Nigerian hip-hop, R&B and Afrobeat artist questioned Adeboye’s refusal to condemn or comment on the government’s actions in his latest music video, suggesting that the influential cleric has a responsibility to speak out on national issues affecting the populace.
Abdulkareem, known for his socially conscious music and activism, accused Pastor Adeboye of hypocrisy, pointing out that the revered cleric had previously spoken out on issues like the COZA rape scandal involving Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo but has remained silent on pressing political matters affecting the nation.
In his latest single titled ‘Emilokan’, Abdulkareem sang thus, “Our daddy, Pastor Adeboye during Goodluck Jonathan your voice was so loud. You even vowed to stage a one million march.
“Hunger and hardship under Tinubu Government. You say Nigeria get spiritual problems.
