The police in Abia State have confirmed the arrest of a Chinese expatriate, Mr. GZ Zhen, at Inner Galaxy Steel in Umuahala Asa, Ukwa West council area.
Zhen is accused of killing a female crane operator, Ocheze Ogbonna, during a night shift after she rejected his sexual advances.

Ogbonna sustained injuries from the attack that led to her death. The incident sparked tension in the area, prompting protests from local youths as Ogbonna was from the host community.
Abia Command Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Maureen Chinaka, confirmed that Zhen is in police custody and that an investigation has begun.
