Julius Abure, the factional chairman of the Labour Party (LP), has met with Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The meeting took place at Wike’s residence in Abuja.

Although the agenda of their discussion remains unclear, it comes just days after Abure’s faction called on Peter Obi, the LP’s 2023 presidential candidate, to quit the party over his decision to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition.
Wike, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who currently serves as a minister in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC)-led government, has faced accusations from PDP members of being the “mastermind” behind the crisis rocking the opposition party.
