The African Democratic Congress, ADC, in Zamfara State has confirmed the defection of over 100 new members from various political parties within the last ten days.
The state chairman of the party, Alhaji Kabiru Garba, who disclosed this during a media interaction in Gusau on Friday, said the growing number of defectors signals increasing support for the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He said ADC was fast becoming a political force in Zamfara as more people joined its ranks.
“In the past ten days, we’ve recorded over 100 new members who joined from different parties,” Garba revealed.
He said the party remains open to all who believe in its mission and is actively engaging with more individuals and groups seeking to join.
Garba also said the party would not hesitate to welcome Governor Dauda Lawal if he opts to switch to the ADC.

“If the governor decides to join us, he will be received like any other member,” he said.
According to him, more defectors are expected in the coming weeks, as preparations continue to strengthen the party’s base across the state.
