Former US Navy Seal Officer and Founder of American private military company Blackwater, Erik Prince, has stirred controversy by suggesting that it is time to “put the imperial hat back on” and recolonise African countries.
In a video circulating on X, Prince argues that many African leaders are incapable of governing themselves and are engaged in corruption, looting, pillaging, and indulging in extravagant shopping trips in Paris instead of focusing on the welfare of their citizens.
During the video, Prince expressed frustration with what he perceives as a lack of effective governance in the continent, stating, “Enough is enough; we’re done being invaded.”
He claimed that the governments prioritise personal gain over the well-being of their citizens, leaving the countries in a state of stagnation.

The US Businessman, Prince stated, “Pretty much all of Africa are incapable of governing themselves and benefiting the citizens, because the government there (African Leaders) are all about looting, pillaging, lining their pockets and going shopping in Paris instead of actually making the countries get better.”
