Nigerian-born American mathematician and political figure, Dr. Akinyemi Agbede, has declared his candidacy for the upcoming California governorship election in the United States.
If successful in the November 3, 2026 election, Dr. Agbede could become the first Nigerian-born US-based individual to hold the position.
He announced his bid shortly after the US presidential election, a move that has generated excitement among his friends and political associates who praise his leadership qualities.
