Air Peace Increases Lagos-London Route Capacity Over Rising Demand

Air Peace, a Nigerian carrier, has revealed plans to boost capacity on its Lagos-London route to meet rising demand. The announcement came through the airline’s verified Facebook page on Wednesday.

With the expansion, travelers seeking flights to London with Air Peace will enjoy increased seat availability and a broader range of options.

The statement read, “Due to overwhelming demand and interest in our London route, we have decided to increase the capacity on the route. This means that more seats are now available.

“Air Peace would like to thank the Nigerian population, both in Nigeria and in the United Kingdom, for their support. We do not take it for granted, and we will be doing our best to continue to make the whole country proud.”

On Saturday, the airline marked a milestone by launching its first-ever flight to London, accommodating 260 passengers aboard a Boeing 777, which boasts a capacity of 274 seats.

This daily service from Lagos signifies a significant shift in the market dynamics, prompting foreign airlines accustomed to monopolizing the route to reconsider their pricing strategies.

Allen Onyema, the CEO of Air Peace, disclosed that tickets for Lagos-London flights with his airline are already sold out until September.
