The Deputy Spokesman of the House of Representatives, Hon. Philip Agbese, stated that a new aircraft for Bola Tinubu is necessary for his protection.
Speaking in an interview on Arise TV, Agbese further added that Tinubu is a Nigerian citizen and that it is our responsibility to ensure that every citizen is protected.
In his words, “The president is a citizen of this country, and as citizens, we owe it a responsibility to ensure that every citizen of this great country is protected in one way or another.
“The issue of aircraft, as important as it is, is considered a national security issue and of great importance to the wellbeing of our country because if something happens to the head, it affects the whole nation.”

He added, “The parliament is not considering only those at the top. The parliament has discussed many motions. Some of the motions touch on the health of this nation, such as the issue of cholera outbreak.
“The parliament has also ensured that infrastructure is provided. If you travel around, you will see that much has been done by the government,” he said.
