Ajagba Stops Goodall in Four Rounds, Retains WBC Silver Belt

Nigerian heavyweight sensation Efe Ajagba (19-1, 14 KOs) retained his WBC Silver Heavyweight Title with a fourth-round TKO victory over Australian Joe Goodall (12-1, 9 KOs) on Saturday night at the Tahoe Blue Event Centre in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.

Efe, who is ranked 7th by the WBC, dominated the fight from the start, using his jab and power to keep Goodall at bay.

Goodall, who had a win over Ajagba in the amateur ranks, showed a lot of heart and toughness, but was unable to match Ajagba’s speed and accuracy.

In the fourth round, Ajagba landed a series of hard punches that rocked Goodall and forced him to retreat to the ropes.

Referee Tony Weeks stepped in and waved off the fight, giving Efe Ajagba his third win of the year and his second consecutive stoppage.

After the fight, He expressed his desire to face the best in the division, including the WBC champion, Tyson Fury.

“I want to fight the top guys, I want to fight Fury, I want to fight for the world title.

“I’m ready for anyone, I’m the future of the heavyweight division,” he said.
