Tinubu Has Big Plans for Nigeria,” Says Akume, Reaffirming Support After Receiving Grand Patron Award from Tinubu

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume, has reiterated the importance of backing President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Speaking in Abuja while being decorated as the grand patron of the Nationwide Tinubu Connect Associates (NTCA), a pro-Tinubu movement, Akume emphasized that Tinubu had significant plans for the country, particularly in security, the economy, agriculture, and human capital development.

He stressed that achieving these goals requires the collective support of stakeholders and Nigerians for the government’s programmes and policies. The SGF assured his continued commitment to supporting the president’s initiatives.

“Let me thank you for considering me for this high honour, in recognition of the little things we have done since Mr President was elected about two years ago.

“Mr President has big ideas and plans for Nigeria in all areas, including security, the economy, agriculture, and human capital development.

“Ours is to continue supporting his policies and programmes to ensure they succeed, bringing joy to all Nigerians.

“We will work hard to achieve his many laudable programmes for our dear country.

“We appreciate your efforts in sharing the success stories of this administration with the world,” he said.

Henry Nwabueze, the national coordinator and president of NTCA, commended Akume for his dedication to Nigeria and his unwavering support for Tinubu’s administration.

He described the SGF as the best choice for grand patron and the first recipient of the Star Associate of President Tinubu award, which recognizes individuals who actively promote the president’s vision for national progress.

Nwabueze highlighted Akume as a symbol of the administration’s dedication to competence, discipline, and hard work in governance.

“Let me express the appreciation of NTCA members, both at home and abroad, who unanimously agreed to honour the SGF.

“For several years, even before some of us were born, Akume has served this nation in various capacities.

“For over fifty years, he has upheld the flag of service and leadership, producing men and women of repute and honour.

“His place in our nation’s history remains one of well-deserved honour and perpetual recognition.

“On behalf of NTCA and in the name of the Most High God, I decorate you as Grand Patron and Star Associate of President Bola Tinubu,” he said.
