Algeria Football Federation Offers Jose Peseiro $90,000 Monthly Salary to Coach Desert Foxes

Algeria Football Federation has extended a lucrative offer of $90,000 per month to Jose Peseiro as they seek a new head coach for the Desert Foxes.

Peseiro, alongside Carlos Querioz and Vladimir Petkovic, is in contention to succeed Djamel Belmadi in leading the Algerian national team.

DZ Football, an Algerian news outlet, reports the federation’s keen interest in securing Peseiro for the coaching role.

The Portuguese coach faces a decision as he is currently weighing his options after the expiration of his contract with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) following the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

During his tenure as the head coach of the Super Eagles, Peseiro earned a monthly salary of $50,000.

The 63-year-old tactician guided Nigeria to a second-place finish in the AFCON competition. Notably, Tunisia is also said to be interested in the former Saudi Arabia and Venezuela coach.
