Former Minister of Transportation and ex-Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi, claims that if elected President of Nigeria in 2027, he will amend the constitution and eradicate corruption within his first month in office.
Speaking during an X Space session titled Weekend Politics, Amaechi claims that should he fail to end corruption within that timeframe, he would resign from the presidency.
He reportedly said, “If I become President, I will change the constitution from indigeneship to citizenship. If I do not end corruption in Nigeria within one month, I will tender my resignation.”

The former APC chieftain also claims that some influential Nigerians frequently visit the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to embezzle funds.
