Supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State staged a protest over their exclusion from federal appointments, claiming they have been sidelined despite helping Bola Tinubu secure victory in the 2023 elections.
A video of the demonstration, shared by Chuks Eric E on X, formerly Twitter, showed protesters marching with placards demanding their “fair share” of recently announced ministerial and ambassadorial positions.
Anambra, in Nigeria’s Southeast, remains a stronghold of the opposition All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), yet local APC members argue that their votes contributed significantly to Tinubu’s win.

They insist that loyal supporters deserve representation in key federal roles and warned that continued exclusion could weaken the party’s influence in the region.
The protest highlights mounting frustration within the All Progressives Congress in the Southeast, where perceived marginalisation risks eroding grassroots support ahead of upcoming elections.
Political observers say the federal leadership must address these grievances to maintain party cohesion and loyalty among supporters.
