This initiative follows the successful launch of ‘1 Youth, 2 Skills’ programme by the state government.

The recent release of start-up capital represents the first batch of beneficiaries under this transformative programme. The lucky recipients received their cheques in a ceremony held in Awka after completing their training, according to Vanguard report.

Hon. Chuks Azotani, the member representing Dunukofia Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly, and chairman of the committee on Information Technology and Creative Economy, applauded Governor Soludo for introducing this life-changing programme.

He emphasised its potential to combat unemployment and restiveness among the state’s youth while nurturing a new generation of self-sufficient entrepreneurs and employers of labour.

“The positive effects of this programme, known as ‘1 Youth, 2 Skills,’ initiated by the Soludo administration and facilitated by the State Ministry of Youth Development, will create substantial economic impacts in the fields of Information, Communication, and Technology,” stated Azotani.

He urged the program’s beneficiaries to apply their acquired skills and knowledge effectively and make judicious investments to become successful business owners and employers of labor within the state.

Notably, approximately 100 beneficiaries from the first batch of the programme hail from the Dunukofia local government area, prompting Azotani to reassure the local youth that more positive developments were on the horizon.

In a broader call to Nigerian youths, Azotani encouraged the former to explore meaningful ventures, particularly in the realm of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

He also highlighted that the Soludo administration is committed to introducing more programs aimed at fostering socio-economic development throughout the State.

Azotani concluded by urging the people of Anambra to join hands and support the state government’s efforts to transform the region into a more prosperous and liveable place for all its citizens. This initiative marks a significant step towards enhancing the lives of the state’s youth and building a stronger economy for the future.
