In a radical show of dissatisfaction, the Ekpoma youths has stormed the streets in protest of the continual increase of kidnapping in Edo state.
In a video making rounds on socials, the protesters, majorly youths in display of their grievances about the kidnapping, mounted the APC campaign billboard and tore it down.
This comes following the continual rise of kidnapping across all parts of Nigeria, Edo state inclusive.

Recall that on January 3, two brothers, identified as Dr Abu Ibrahim Babatunde and Abu Tahir, were abducted by terrorists in Auchi, the administrative headquarters of Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State.

The incident took place on Thursday along City Pride Road, Igbira Camp, Auchi. Dr Babatunde, who was undergoing housemanship at the Edo State Teaching Hospital, Auchi, was returning home from work with his brother Tahir when the terrorists struck.

Sources said the brothers arrived at their residence around 7:30 p.m., and Tahir had stepped out of the vehicle to open the gate when the gunmen, reportedly lying in wait, emerged and abducted them at gunpoint, whisking them into the nearby bush.
However, while the rate of kidnapping in the country continues to increase, the government seems lackadaisical to apply measures to curb the menace.
