APC House of Reps Member Tunji Akinosi Caught Assaulting Policeman at Public Event in Ogun

In a disturbing incident captured on video, Tunji Akinosi, a member of the Nigerian House of Representatives representing Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency and a member of the All Progressive Congress (APC), was seen assaulting a police officer.

In a viral video shared on X, the federal lawmaker was seen assaulting a police officer at the 2023 Iganmode Day Celebration held in Sango-Ota, Ogun State.

The altercation unfolded when the policeman, part of the convoy of Ogun Deputy Governor Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, attempted to clear a pathway for the deputy governor.

According to accounts, He became agitated when security personnel directed him and other guests to vacate their seats to clear the pathway for the deputy governor.

This purportedly led to Akinosi physically assaulting the policeman, swift intervention from nearby individuals prevented further escalation.

This incident follows a previous altercation in May, where Akinosi was reportedly involved in a confrontation.

A circulated video on social media showed a heated exchange between Akinosi and a woman who intervened after his vehicle allegedly knocked down a street hawker in Lagos.

In the footage, the lawmaker was seen issuing threats towards the woman.
