Victoria Orenze, a Nigerian gospel singer, songwriter, and worship leader, has blamed the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for the recurring terror attacks targeting Christians in Nigeria.
For many years Christians have faced threats from three Islamic terror groups: Boko Haram, ISWAP, and Fulani Herdsmen.
In a passionate post on X, Orenze noted that the constant denial of the challenge with government circles contributed to how long the genocide of Christians in Nigeria has lasted.
“For years I have been speaking and shouting and I won’t stop!!
“For this present government or even the previous government of the past 8yrs, that was helped to gain power by this very same present government to say that there are no killings of Christians in the northern part of Nigeria especially and some other parts, is a shame and it’s sad!
“This is the reason it has not stopped because you refuse to acknowledge it and do something about it!
“The killings of citizens, Christians and non Christians, the insecurity, the kidnappings, the failure of our justice system, is it the silencing of protesters, the selfish interest of our wicked leaders??
“GOD has been warning and asking for repentance but you Nigerian leaders have refused! And even some of us the citizens are wicked!
“When GOD said pharaohs don’t know how to let go and ONLY GOD delivers out of the hands of pharaohs, we will come to understand it”, she concluded.
