As the death toll in the flood disaster at Mokwa town in Mokwa Local Government Area of Niger State last Wednesday rises to over 200 with more than 500 others missing, Broadcast journalist and Arise TV anchor Oseni Rufai has taken a swipe at supporters of the All Progressives Congress, APC-led administration.
In a post on X, Oseni berated supporters of Bola Tinubu, whom he described as ‘wailers’, for their usual antics of blaming opposition leaders like Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party Presidential Candidate, for the woes of the country.
He stated that Obi had visited the flood victims of Mokwa Local Government Area in Niger State as a responsible political leader but Tinubu is yet to do so.
While calling out Tinubu for his failure to show compassion as expected of leaders, he added that the ‘wailers’ will find a way to make the Niger flood disaster about Obi.
Recall that Obi visted Niger State on Monday and donated the sum of N20 million to the flood victims of Mokwa Local Government Area.
During his visit, Obi said the fund was to support the injured victims and bereaved families of the deceased to cushion the effects of the hardship on them.
