Porto manager Sérgio Conceiçao has made startling accusations against Arsenal’s head coach, Mikel Arteta, following their Champions League last-16 second-leg match, which ended in defeat for the Portuguese side.
Having arrived at the Emirates Stadium with a 1-0 deficit from the first leg, Porto managed to level the tie on aggregate during the first half, courtesy of a goal from Leandro Trossard.
Despite a fiercely contested match with no further goals, the game proceeded to a penalty shootout. Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya’s heroics, saving twice, secured Arsenal’s progression to the quarterfinals.
However, the post-match focus shifted to a reported altercation between Sérgio Conceiçao and Mikel Arteta. Conceiçao alleged that Arteta directed insults towards his family in Spanish during the match.
Addressing the incident, Conceiçao stated, “Arteta turned to the bench during the game and insulted my family in Spanish.

“I told him that the person he insulted is no longer among us.
“Let him worry about training his team, which has more than enough quality to play a lot better,” he added.
