The Lagos State High Court sitting at the Tafawa Balewa Square annex in Igbosere, Lagos Island, has convicted and sentenced to death by hanging a suspended Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Drambi Vandi, for the murder of Lagos-based lawyer, Mrs. Omobolanle Raheem.
Justice Ibironke Harrison declared that his defense, that he didn’t shoot the victim, was without merit.
Vandi was held responsible for the murder of Mrs. Omobolanle Raheem, a lawyer from Lagos.
Raheem Bolanle was allegedly shot and killed by Officer Vandi on December 25, 2022, in Ajah, Lagos.
The horrific incident happened as the victim was traveling home from a Christmas vacation with her family.
Vandi was hauled before the Lagos State High Court at the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) annexe on a one-count murder charge after entering a not guilty plea
