The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) is once again considering a nationwide strike in response to several unresolved issues, including the absence of governing councils in all federal universities across the country.
They noted that the federal government dissolved these councils in May last year. The union urges Nigerians to attribute any consequent actions taken to protest the government’s inaction directly to the government.

Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke, the union president, conveyed these concerns during an ongoing press conference at the national secretariat in Abuja.
