Slaughter Spree Continues as Terrorists Kill 17, Abduct 54 In 3 Kaduna Communities

Terrorists struck three communities in Dawaki Ward, Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, leaving a trail of death and abduction in their wake.

Former Ward Councillor Hon. Aminu Khalid disclosed to Journalists that the targeted villages—Ungwan Sako, Kunkurai, and Dokan Kaji—fell victim to the ruthless operation on Tuesday night.

According to Khalid, the attackers, believed to be terrorists, infiltrated the communities on foot, strategically positioning themselves.

The assault resulted in the tragic loss of 17 lives, with an additional 54 individuals abducted during the brutal onslaught.

During a daring gun duel, some local residents managed to rescue 20 of the abducted villagers, but not without a heavy toll—nine lives were sacrificed among the rescuers.

As of now, 34 persons remain in the custody of the bandits, and no contact has been established for ransom demands.

Khalid words, “34 of the locals are still in their custody, and contact is yet to be established with the terrorists for ransom, stressing that the terrorists invaded the affected Communities on foot and took vantage positions at the same time.

“The terrorists always come from parts of Kajuru and Kachia forest where their camp is situated at Dutsen Magunguna In Kajuru Local Government Area of the State.

“Except for the Nigerian military raid, the terrorist camp, which is situated around certain communities, can never experience peace.”
