In a devastating attack on the Ruwandoruwa community in Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State, armed bandits have left a mobile policeman dead and 15 individuals abducted, including the wife of a local monarch.
The incident occurred at approximately 12:30 a.m. on Monday as assailants unleashed indiscriminate gunfire upon the community.
The mobile policeman, attached to the Maru Police Division, valiantly attempted to defend the district head’s residence but tragically lost his life in the process.
Despite a failed attempt to kidnap the district head, who was not present at the scene, the bandits successfully abducted his wife.

As of now, the bandits have not made any contact with the community regarding ransom demands for the abducted individuals.
The residents are left grappling with the aftermath of this shocking and violent assault on their community.
