Abuja-based juju band members, led by Omoba de Jumbo Beats, who were abducted on the Lokoja highway, have been successfully liberated from captivity.
The band and its crew were kidnapped while returning from a performance in Kogi State. Initial reports earlier this week had indicated that the kidnappers were demanding an exorbitant N10 million ransom per member for their release.
The anxieties surrounding the situation were replaced with relief and celebration as Christian singer Adegbodu Taiwo shared a video capturing the jubilant band members stepping out of a white bus, signifying their safe return to Abuja.
Taiwo, attributing the positive outcome to divine intervention, expressed gratitude for the regained freedom in a social media post.
