Veteran artist Bankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W, has announced that he and his family have relocated to the United States.
In an Instagram post, Banky W shared that they moved from Nigeria to the U.S. to pursue his life’s purpose.
He wrote: “For family. For faith. For finding purpose. For the next year of earning a Masters degree in Policy Management at Georgetown University in Washington DC.”
Reacting to a post on Instagram, his wife, Adesua stated: “Home is wherever you are.”
In July, the singer announced his enrollment in a Policy Management program at Georgetown University.
Banky W and his wife tied the knot in South Africa in 2017 and welcomed their son, Hazaiah, in 2021.
It’s worth noting that the multiple award-winning artist also ventured into politics, becoming the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Eti-Osa Federal Constituency in 2023, but lost to Labour Party’s Thaddeus Attah.
