We’ll Tell Tinubu, Be Patient and Understanding — Bauchi Gov Urges Residents as Flood Cuts Off Kano-Maiduguri Road

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, has announced plans to inform the Federal Government about the extensive damage caused by severe flooding that has cut off a portion of the Kano-Maiduguri expressway.

The road, a key link between the Northwest and Northeast regions of Nigeria, was rendered impassable after a heavy downpour washed away a section between Malori and Guskuri Villages in Katagum Local Government Area of Bauchi State.

During a visit to the affected area, Governor Mohammed assessed the situation and emphasized the need for immediate repairs to prevent accidents and alleviate the challenges faced by road users.

He also pledged that his administration would take steps to maintain certain federal roads in the state, particularly as the ongoing rainy season continues to worsen road conditions.

“The urgent intervention by the Federal Government is necessary to prevent accidents on the highway and mitigate other hardships,” he stressed.

He urged the public to remain patient and understanding as efforts are made to address the situation swiftly.
