Bayer Leverkusen are reportedly on the verge of dismissing Erik ten Hag just two games into the new season, following a disappointing start under his leadership.
The Dutch manager has overseen a poor run of form, with Leverkusen collecting only a single point from their opening fixtures.

They suffered a 2-1 home defeat to Hoffenheim despite taking an early lead, and most recently squandered a 3-1 advantage against a ten-man Werder Bremen side, settling for a 3-3 draw.
These results have left the club floundering in the lower half of the Bundesliga table, and according to Kicker, Ten Hag’s position is now under serious threat.

Notably, the club has remained silent, offering no public backing for their manager.
Leverkusen are keen to build on the momentum left by Xabi Alonso, whose tenure saw the team achieve an unbeaten domestic double and reach the Europa League final. Ten Hag’s early struggles have cast doubt on his ability to continue that legacy.
