Boko Haram Killed 21 Soldiers, Yet No Media Outrage, While Media Focuses on EFCC Official Shot in Alleged Illegal Raid—Netizens React

Nigerians have criticized the level of important given to certain groups of people, while those who should be the priority are overlooked.

Recall that the EFCC in a press statement released on their official X handle, expressed their grief on the loss of its officers, Assistant Superintendent of the EFCC, ASE II Aminu Sahabi Salisu who was killed in cold blood while on a ‘legitimate duty’ on January 17, 2025 by a suspected internet fraudster,  Joshua Chukwubueze Ikechukwu.

In a post by an X user, Adetutu Balogun, MBA, she revealed that Boko Haram killed 21 soldiers yet there was no media outrage or influencers writing thread of thread but the news of the EFCC official saga has been resonating every where.

Her post reads,”Two days ago, Boko Haram killed 21 soldiers. No media outrage, no tribal war on twitter… no influencers writing thread of thread!

“When an EFCC official was shot, while conducting an illegal raid, emergency lovers of EFCC inserted anti Igbo Rhetorics into it.”

Reacting to her post , X users have relayed their grievances.Charles Ugochukwu Odizuru-Abangwu Jr. Wrote, “Loads of peeps out here are obviously paid to exhibit their foolishness, that’s what we get to see every now and then.”

“Anytime I see them troop out in their numbers I just know that they’ve renewed their subscription. Kai I am imagining how they’ll feel many years from now when they look back at all they’re ðoing now,” Oluwabuchi tweeted.

“Nigeria has an Igbo problem ! They see the Igbo nation as a single superior race hence the envy,”Arinze the Truth added.
