Bola Tinubu begs U.S. Court for a Delay in the Release of His Academic Records

Bola Ahmed Tinubu has filed an appeal with the US Court to rethink the judgment that ordered the immediate release of his academic records at Chicago State University. Tinubu pleaded for a delay or execution until September 25th. In a swift judgment, Judge Jeffrey Gilbert ordered Chicago State University on September 19 to produce Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s records to be given to his political opponent and PDP presidential candidate, Abubakar Atiku, as part of an ongoing election saga in Nigeria.

The judge ordered all the records to be released to Abubakar Atiku on September 21, but Bola Ahmed Tinubu has now filed an appeal to stop the submission of the documents to Atiku. Tinubu pleaded for a delay until September 25th as he asked a senior judge to review Judge Jeffrey’s lawful decision.

An urgent hearing is set to take place by 3:00 p.m. local time, as scheduled by Judge Nancy Maldonado. The lawyers of both parties are to be at the virtual conference.

Tinubu’s fear has caused lots of questions and public reactions, as well as unanswered questions. “What is Bola Ahmed Tinubu trying to hide?”, “Why is he trying to prevent the public from seeing?”. It is expected that a conclusion will be reached as soon as possible.
