BREAKING: Labour Party Chairman Julius Abure Alleged of Financial Mismanagement, Fraud

LABOUR

In a shocking revelation, Labour Party Chairman Julius Abure has been accused of orchestrating a massive financial scandal involving the misappropriation of over 2 billion naira in funds donated to the party by Obidients and Labour Party faithfuls.

According to a leaked audit report, concocted by Abure and his associate Emeka, expenses were reported that never occurred, with the aim of submitting the report to INEC and concealing the true nature of the party’s finances from the public.

The audit report, which was intended to be submitted to INEC and hidden from the public has exposed much to the chagrin of Barr. Julius Abure.

Recall that some days ago, Peter Obi, the 2023 Presidential Candidate of the party, went public with his own campaign organization report, revealing expenses and income received from donations and stating he would ensure a proper audit is done for the Labour Party accounts.

Barr. Julius Abure was not pleased with this, which he calls an attempt by Peter Obi to rubbish the image of the Party, by so, has reportedly called for the suspension of the Presidential candidate.

Barr. Julius Abure and his fictitious expenses, would definitely be caught if a proper audit is done by a reputable firm and not by his friend Emeka, who has helped him concoct an audit of lies to shield the fraud and money laundering done by Julius Abure.

Abure’s intention to quietly submit the audit report without public scrutiny has now been trampled because of the integrity of Peter Obi and the public report he gave.

The treasurer of the party, Mrs. Oluchi Opara, has refused to sign the concocted audit report, stating that none of the listed expenses were legitimate.

Furthermore, Mrs. Opara has accused Julius Abure of attempting to coerce her into signing the fabricated report and accepting responsibility for the nonexistent expenses.

She alleged that Abure even tried to bribe her with a car gift.

In reaction, Abure has threatened to suspend Peter Obi from the party and has called for an urgent meeting of state chairmen to pass a vote of confidence for him as the National Chairman and immediately suspend Peter Obi for “going against the Party” and “sponsoring Oluchi Opara to discuss internal issues to the public.”

Abure has also accused Obi of sponsoring Opara and financing her media appearances to discredit the party.

However, Opara maintains that the expenses listed in the audit report are baseless, false and fabricated raising concerns about where the donated funds have actually been diverted to since the money is no longer even present in the Labour Party bank account.

Further investigations have revealed a series of suspicious transactions and properties acquired by Abure between 2022 and 2023, suggesting a pattern of embezzlement and money laundering. Opara has warned Abure that any attempt to forge her signature on the audit report will result in legal consequences.

Also, just of recent, Barr. Julius Abure having seen that the bank accounts above are now being monitored, used another means to embezzle 5 million naira from the Labour Party account on the 25th of January 2024. A clerk at the Labour Party National Secretariat, Ms. Chidimma Ositadinma was asked by Julius Abure to send her bank account number.

Unknowing to her that it was for fraud, she sent her bank account only to receive a credit of 5 million naira from Labour Party’s account. She was then immediately instructed by Julius Abure to reroute the money into his personal Zenith bank account, which she did without even knowing the consequences of her actions.

All of these information can be VERIFIED.

Also recall that before the arrival of Peter Ono to Labour Party and before donations from citizens into Labour Party account, Barr. Julius Abure lived in a small 2 bedroom apartment located at number 30 Oran Street, Wuse Zone 1 but he has now moved out from the property during the campaign period, moving into a PURCHASED 4 bedroom duplex in Guzape Abuja. Also, the following properties have now been purchased by the Labour Party Chairman, Barr. Julius Abure between 2022 and 2023 when Peter Obi joined the Party and when Obidients began donations to Party accounts:

Real Estate Acquisition since July 2022

Following massive influx of cash once Peter Obi came onboard, he’s since acquired the following from the over 2 billion naira he embezzled:

1. 4-Bed Semi-Detached Duplex – House 49  Road 2, Federal Housing Authority, Guzape, Abuja. He bought this in August 2022 for NGN 180,000,000 from  a company called ENL Consortium.

This can be verified. The image of the house has also been included in this expose.

2. 8-Units of Luxury Apartments at Paridise Hill Estate, Guzape, Abuja – each acquired from ENL Consortium in August 2023 at NGN 45,000,000 each. That’s a total of NGN 360,000,000

This is still under construction and hence, why he bought it at a cheaper rate of NGN 45,000,000 each. The price would increase once construction is done. Image has also been included.

3. Parcel of Land measuring 1,524m² located at Road 2, Federal Housing Authority, Guzape, Abuja – He bought this in August 2023.

4. 5-Bed Detached Detached Duplex on Road 2, Federal Housing Authority, Guzape, Abuja. He acquired this one for NGN 380,000,000 in November 2023.

5. Mansion he constructed for NGN 523,000,000 at Number 1 Julius Abure Way, off Ogumwenyin, off Aruogba Road, Irhirhi Benin City, Edo State.

He also bought the street name. It was not Julius Abure Way before 2022.

All of these with the money Obidients donated.

6. Mansion constructed for NGN 400,000,000 located in Arue village, next to Late Chief Tony Anenih’s Villa, Uromi, Edo State.

This one is also still under construction. The blue one in the picture.

The unfolding scandal has cast a shadow over the integrity of the Labour Party and has sparked calls for a thorough investigation into Abure’s financial dealings and bank accounts.

As the controversy deepens, questions remain about the extent of Abure’s involvement in fraudulent activities and the fate of the party’s reputation moving forward.
