British rapper Stormzy has been banned from driving for nine months following his guilty plea to using a mobile phone while driving.
The Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court handed down the sentence on Thursday after an off-duty police officer spotted the musician using his phone behind the wheel of his Rolls-Royce in West Kensington, London, on March 7, 2024.
District Judge Andrew Sweet criticised Stormzy’s actions as “dangerous and irresponsible” and highlighted his poor driving record during the sentencing.
