The award-winning investigative journalist, David Hundeyin, has revealed that the British government is funding some Nigerian journalists to push out articles that are in favour of GMO foods.
Hundeyin made this known in an interview programme on AIT on Friday.

He stated that he is aware of a specific project which is funded by the UK Commonwealth and Development Office and it’s working in partnership with BBC media action.

He further disclosed that BBC is the state funded broadcasting in the UK which also which also gets it’s funding from the FCT.

His words,”I’m aware of one specific project as am made to understand, it’s funded by the UK Commonwealth and Development Office and it’s working in partnership with BBC media action.
“Of course you know it, BBC is the state funded broadcasting in the UK which also which also gets it’s funding from the FCT.
“What they do is that they selected journalists from West Africa, take them to Ghana, camp them like a week, brief then thoroughly, lodge them in nice hotels.
“Then, give them a report that these are people we don’t like, these are the people we will describe in a certain way be it conversation surrounding GMO food.
“I don’t understand what the British government interest is in internal Nigeria conversation.”
