Nigeria’s ex-president, Muhammadu Buhari, expressed contentment with the recent fuel pump price hike implemented by the Chief Bola Tinubu.

Buhari revealed his satisfaction during an event organized by the Katsina Consultative Forum at the Presidential Banquet Hall of Government House in Katsina.

In his address delivered in the Hausa language on Sunday, Buhari disclosed that he welcomed the decision as it was anticipated to result in a reduction of visitors to his native Daura town in Katsina State.

He humorously remarked that the fuel price increase would likely lead to fewer visits to Daura, providing him with more privacy.

While addressing the gathering, Buhari also addressed the serious issue of drug abuse in Katsina State, emphasizing the importance of tackling the problem to safeguard the well-being and potential of the nation’s youth.

He stated, “A nation’s greatness is measured by how it safeguards its people. Our youths represent our valued asset, and protecting their well-being is crucial for our nation’s future.

“We can’t afford to watch as drug abuse dismantles their potential and the country’s future. I urge all of us to unite and act decisively against drug abuse in the state,” Buhari added. #Tinubu
