In a recent development, Alhaji Umar Bush, known for his viral “Always Angry Alhaji” persona, has been appointed as the Special Assistant on Entertainment to the Senior Special Assistant to Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Special Needs and Equal Opportunities.
In an official letter titled “Appointment as Special Assistant on Entertainment,” the Senior Special Assistant approved Bush’s appointment, stating that his responsibilities will include managing media promotion, ensuring good public relations, and facilitating entertainment initiatives for the office.
The letter stated, “This is to convey the approval of senior special assistant to the president on special needs and equal opportunities for your appointment as the special assistant on entertainment.
“Your task is to manage Media promotion and ensure good public relation and facilitate entertainment initiatives for the office.
“This appointment is for two years, effective July, 10 2024 and renewal upon satisfactory performance for another term.
“Congratulations,” the letter concluded.
The announcement has sparked reactions on X. A user with the handle Upcoming Billionaire criticized the decision, saying, “SSA appointing someone to be his SA, the way we keep creating unnecessary problems for ourselves in this country is beyond imagination. We joke with the issue of governance a lot because we don’t have value to it. Wishing the SA all the best.”
