BUSTED! INEC Officials ‘Offered’ N50m To Rig Kogi Central Results In APC’s Favour

As electorate begins to cast their ballots for their preferred candidates in the Kogi governorship election, Parallel Facts findings have uncovered ongoing plan to rig the election results from Kogi Central in favour of the ruling party APC by INEC Officials.

Recall Action Peace Plan in Igalaland (APPI) in September had raised the alarm over plans to rig the governorship polls in the State through manipulation and violence.

In recent development, a source who pleaded anonymity told this medium that some INEC officials were allegedly offered N50 million bribe to doctor results from Kogi Central in favour of the ruling party.

The source also added there is an ongoing plot to duplicate INEC Form EC8A and other materials to reflect the altered results against the will of the electorate.

In similar development, a lawyer and human rights activist, Chidi Odinkalu had said there would be IReV malfunction during the election in Imo, adding that the Commission withdrew passwords for the upload of results to the viewing portal (IReV) from its officials in the State – a report INEC described as “fake news”.

“I have just learnt from concerned workers that the password to transmit results to IREV issued yesterday to LGA supervisors in Imo for use by APO1s tomorrow have been withdrawn without reason. New passwords have not been issued. Expect IREV malfunction tomorrow,” Odinkalu had wrote in a now-viral post on X (formerly Twitter).
