Cristiano Ronaldo’s son, Cristiano dos Santos Jr., has earned his first invitation to represent Portugal at the under-15 level, marking a significant step in the teenager’s budding football career.

The 14-year-old forward has been selected to join Portugal’s squad for the upcoming seventh edition of the Vlatko Markovic youth tournament, scheduled to take place in Croatia from May 13 to 18.

During the competition, Portugal’s youth team is set to face Japan on May 13, Greece on May 14, and England on May 16 in the group stages. The final fixture will be played on May 18, with the opponent to be confirmed based on group results.

Cristiano Ronaldo, a five-time Ballon d’Or winner, expressed his pride in his son’s national team selection. “Orgulho em ti filho! (Proud of you, son!),” The Al-Nassr striker wrote on Instagram on Tuesday.

Cristiano Jr., like his father, currently plays for Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr’s youth setup. His young career has also seen him feature in the academies of Manchester United and Juventus, two clubs where his father previously played.
