CAF Announces Full Match Schedule for 2025 Africa Cup of Nations

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially unveiled the complete match schedule for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The tournament will take place across nine venues in six cities, with Morocco as the host nation.

The opening match will see hosts Morocco face Comoros at the newly built 69,500-seater Complexe Sportif Prince Moulay Abdellah in Rabat on Sunday, December 21.

The capital city, Rabat, will host four matches, while other cities such as Casablanca, Agadir, Marrakech, Fes, and Tangier will each hold one match.

The four quarter-final matches will be held at the Sportif Prince Moulay Abdellah in Rabat, as well as in Tangier, Marrakech, and Agadir.

Rabat and Tangier will host the semi-finals, while the third-place play-off will be played at the Stade Mohammed V in Casablanca.

A total of 52 matches will be played during the biennial competition. The defending champions, the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire, will look to retain their title as the tournament kicks off.
