The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has selected Victor Osimhen, for a random drug test following his impressive performance against Cameroon in the Saturday Round of 16 match during the ongoing AFCON 2023.
Osimhen played a pivotal role in the Super Eagles’ 2-0 victory, showcasing determination to win the ball. In a notable instance, he dispossessed a Cameroon defender and delivered a precise pass to Lookman, leading to the opening goal.
Throughout his time on the pitch, Osimhen relentlessly pursued every ball, posing a consistent threat to the Cameroon defense.
His exceptional effort has captured the attention of CAF, resulting in his inclusion in the random drug test.
Typically, players are chosen through a drawing of lots from the entire matchday squad. However, a player can also be selected randomly if any unusual behavior is observed.
