Gov Otti Tells Residents – Call Police or Me When You See Danger; We Don’t Sleep So That You Can Sleep

Abia State Governor Alex Otti has urged residents to promptly alert security agencies or contact him directly if they notice any suspicious activities that could pose a threat to the state’s security.

Governor Otti made the call on Wednesday during celebrations marking Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary at the Government House in Umuahia.

He assured that he and the security agencies remain vigilant at all times to ensure that the people of Abia can sleep peacefully.

He also commended residents for their trust in his administration, noting that the State is fortunate to have diligent Service Commanders committed to their duties.

He said, “If you see something, say something. Call the Nigerian Police, the DSS, the Army—just call the security agencies or call me. We don’t sleep. And the reason we don’t sleep is so that you can sleep.”

Governor Otti further urged residents to continue supporting the security agencies, stressing that such cooperation boosts their morale and dedication.

He encouraged Nigerians not to lose hope despite economic challenges, adding that Abia State has experienced a remarkable developmental transformation over the past 28 months of his administration.
