CIES Unveils Top 50 Most Valuable Footballers, Messi, Ronaldo Missing

The International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES) Football Observatory, has released a comprehensive list of the world’s top 50 most valuable footballers, notably excluding icons Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The list predominantly showcases young talents, with Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham claiming the top spot with a staggering valuation of €267.5 million.

Manchester City’s Erling Haaland follows closely behind at €251.2 million, securing the second position, while Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior takes the third spot with a valuation of €250.3 million.

Rodrygo, another talent from Real Madrid, secures the fourth spot with a valuation of €247.9 million, and Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka completes the top five with a valuation of €223 million.

The remaining positions in the top ten are occupied by Manchester City’s Phil Foden, Barcelona’s Gavi, Manchester City’s Julian Alvarez, Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala, and Arsenal’s Martin Odegaard.

Notable mentions in the top 20 include Gabriel Martinelli, Federico Valverde, Dominik Szoboszlai, Marcus Rashford, Eduardo Camavinga, Darwin Nunez, Rodri, Enzo Fernandez, Pedri Gonzalez, and Florian Wirtz.
