City Beats United At Old Trafford

The Premier League champions emerged victorious in the first Manchester derby of the season, demonstrating their superiority over United.

On a day that began on a sombre note with a pre-kickoff memorial for the late Sir Bobby Charlton, Erling Haaland scored twice, and Phil Foden also scored.

Pep Guardiola’s team is still the favorite to win the English Premier League for an unprecedented fourth time in a row, and their rise up to third place demonstrated their superiority over their local rivals.

United is now in eighth place, 11 points off the top, following its fifth loss in its last ten league games this season.

United had triumphed in their last three games, but not convincingly, against FC Copenhagen, Brentford, and Sheffield United, following a dismal start to the season.

It took 45 minutes for City to find their rhythm, but this was the true litmus test for Erik ten Hag’s team, and they came up short.

Manchester United will welcome Newcastle on Wednesday, November 1st, as they continue their EFL cup campaign.
