Comedian AY Denies Affair With May Edochie, Sues Content Creator for Defamation

Comedian Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY, has denied having an affair with May Edochie, the estranged wife of actor Yul Edochie.

He has also filed a petition to the Nigerian Police to arrest a content creator named Agozi Samuel, who accused him of being the cause of the marital crisis between Yul and May.

Agozi, who goes by the name Agozi Commedy on Facebook, posted a video on January 23, in which he claimed that AY was sleeping with May and planning to marry her. He also threatened to expose AY and bring him down in 2024.

AY, through his lawyers, described Agozi’s allegations as false, baseless and untrue.

He said they have damaged his reputation, personal life, career and integrity among his friends, business associates and the general public.

He demanded that Agozi retract his statements, apologize within seven days, or face legal action.

AY also urged the Delta State police to take immediate action in investigating and apprehending Agozi for criminal defamation and cyberstalking.

He said he has provided evidence of Agozi’s malicious publication and harassment.
