Suspended Health Commissioner Under Probe, Will be Prosecuted — Alex Otti

Abia State Governor, Alex Otti has announced that Dr. Ngozi Okoronkwo, the suspended Commissioner for Health, is currently under investigation.

The governor stated that if the allegations against her are substantiated, she will face prosecution.

“The suspension of the Commissioner of Health is based on allegations of suspicion. A committee has already been established, and the results of their investigation will be forthcoming,” Governor Otti explained.

He further mentioned that if Dr. Okoronkwo is cleared of any wrongdoing, she will be reinstated to her position. However, if she is found guilty, appropriate actions will be taken against her.

In a conversation with journalists in Umuahia on Friday night, Governor Otti also addressed the termination of his former Chief Press Secretary, Kazie Uko, describing it as part of a broader reorganization effort. He emphasized that “no appointment is permanent.”
