A local branch of the Celestial Church of Christ in Lagos State is facing criticism after it announced the participation of Fuji singer Pasuma and street-hop artist Portable in its upcoming praise night.
The event flyer, shared on the church’s official Facebook page on Wednesday, triggered a wave of negative comments from netizens who questioned the decision to invite secular artists to a religious gathering.
Expressing dismay, Bolanle Bamidele Adewuyi commented, “This is disheartening… Is this what you turn the Church of God to? It’s hilarious.”
Festus Olanrewaji Ojo added, “This is a shame! Shame and a very big shame.”
Disapprovingly, BU KO LA stated, “This is totally nonsense.”
Ayo Ife humorously suggested, “The artists are not complete yet; you should have added Naira Marley so that the soul-winning can be complete!”
