JUST IN: Court Grants Disgraced Ex-cop Abba Kyari Two-Week Bail, 27 Weeks into Detention

Twenty seven days into Detention, an Abuja Federal High Court has granted former Commander of Force Intelligence Response Team, DCP, Abba Kyari two weeks bail in an excuse to grant him access to attend his mother’s burial.

Recall that Kyaria’s mother died in the early hours of Sunday, May 5, 2024, and was survived by 10 children (five males and five females), including Abba, who is the eldest son.

Recall also that Kyria is facing trial for drug-related charges filed by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

The former IRT boss was arrested on February 14, 2022, by the NDLEA.

The court stated that the two-week bail was to allow Kyari return home to conclude his mother’s burial rites.

Meanwhile, the court has set Friday, May 31 for determination of his bail application.
