The Ekiti magistrate court has finally granted a bail application of N30 million naira to the Nigerian journalist, Dele Farotimi.
This was made known in a post shared by the convener of RevolutionNow Omoyele Sowore on Friday.
The bail term also included two sureties, one of whom must be a property owner. In addition Farotimi is to submit his passport and prohibited from media interviews.
Sowore’s post reads,”The Kangaroo Magistrate Court has finally granted @DeleFarotimi bail, subject to the following conditions: a 30 million bond, two sureties (one of whom must be a property owner), submission of his passport, and a prohibition on granting media interviews. The Struggle Continues!

However, all these come following accusation of Farotimi’s alleged defamation of Afe Babalola in his Book titled,”Nigeria and its Corrupt Judiciary System.”
