BREAKING: High Court in Abuja Rejects Binance Executive Gambaryan’s Fresh Bail Application

A Federal High Court in Abuja has denied a new bail application by Tigran Gambaryan, a detained executive of Binance who is facing money laundering charges.

Justice Emeka Nwite delivered the ruling, noting that Gambaryan’s previous bail application, which was based on health concerns, is currently under appeal.

Nwite stated that the new bail application constitutes an abuse of court process since there is an ongoing appeal regarding the refusal of the first bail request.

Gambaryan, a senior executive at Binance, was arrested and detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on charges of money laundering.

His legal team has been advocating for his release on bail, citing his deteriorating health condition.

Gambaryan’s lawyers argued in court that he suffers from a disk issue and requires urgent medical attention. They submitted medical reports from the State House Annex Clinic in Asokoro, Abuja, which recommended surgery.

However, the EFCC disputed these claims, asserting that Nigerian hospitals are equipped to treat Gambaryan. The commission also presented a report from Nizamiye Hospital, countering the family’s claims that he “can no longer walk.”
