On Thursday, Cross River civil servants staged a protest at the Secretary to the State Government’s office, protesting unpaid salaries.
In a video disseminated by Anthony Ehilebo, a demonstrator expressed deep concerns about the dire circumstances, shedding light on the hardships endured by workers.
Emphasizing the critical importance of prompt salary disbursement, particularly in January when many employees must settle their children’s school fees, the protester underscored the exacerbation of financial strain caused by the delay in payments until February 15.
